Pros

Good pay Good Workplace COmpetitive benefits, however as I have said below they really need to stop outsourcing, Alot of the people working are also kinda snotty.

Cons

Overworked The pay can be crappy for interns. Also they need to shape up management and actually get better people hired and stop outsourcing.

Decent company if you are optimistic about people printing in the future

Pros

Very good work life balance. Some people have skated by on 30-35 hrs/wk for years. A lot of smart people (although getting less in the last few years) With our new CEO, (Paul Rooke) upper management finally seems open to going beyond desktop printers. Some good first line managers, but some bad ones as well Decent compensation, although benefits got worse in the last few years

Cons

To slow to respond to a changing market (I blame it on the old CEO, although the new one was a VP at the time) Multiple re-orgs are a fact of life at Lexmark. There were 3 major ones in 2009 alone. All the uncertainty led a lot of talented younger people to leave in the last few years. Also a lot of talented older people were forced into retirement. All of this bodes poorly for a small player in a shrinking industry. Because of the re-orgs, some managers were required to step down. Also a nearly 3-year freeze in promotions and raises causes a backlog of people wanting to be promoted. Completely different story from the glory days of the late 90s, when people were promoted after a few years of service and got large yearly bonuses.
