Some of the people there are great to work with.

Cons

Insurance is a tough industry. New leadership, coupled with a poor market and cost pressure means trying times. No focus on quality of life given the environment, everything is profit and results. A lot of uncertainty in the air.

Decent for a corportate job that won't take over your personal life

Pros

Decent pay for the effort required. Flexible WFH days. Plenty of PTO. Pretty good benefits (health insurance, HSA, 401k match, etc). Work won't take over your whole life like it would in some other industries/companies. People respect your personal life (from my experience).

Cons

Like any big company, they don't really care about their people during layoffs. They let people go who have 25+ years at the company are close to retirement and now they have to choose whether they are prepared to retire early or go find another job for the next 5-10 years. The work isn't super thrilling, but it's fine for a corportate job.
