      Pros

      Helping the community at large, meet interesting people. You are able to serve people of different ages, backgrounds, states, and you learn a lot of interesting information. The institution is currently thriving even with minimal staff.

      Cons

      There is a lot of politics in the office which can lead to low morale from the staff members. Staff is currently working the jobs of two-three people but not being compensated as such. Much of the staff feels unappreciated, which made it difficult to wake up and get to work everyday.

      The employees and volunteers are genuinely there for the love of the mission; Pleasant environment where you could see the fruits of your labor every time you saw the smiling face of a guest; LSC has a workplace culture unlike any other and many don't truly appreciate it until they've moved on to another organization / company

      Cons

      Needs to do a better job identiying their high potential employees and developing them
