Pros

Full benefits for full time employees. Managers who will, to the best of their ability, to try to accommodate their employees. Friendly and helpful staff members.

Cons

Poor training for new and continuing employees. Many employees work just below the 40 hours a week "full time" standard, ensuring they receive zero benefits. Pay rate and raise freezes. Not enough staffing to satisfy current workloads. Automation Dept. is slow, backlogged and communicates poorly. Basic company "feel" is reactive, not proactive.

Pros

Good health insurance and they give you a benefits card with your annual deductible on it.

Cons

Poor communication, managers and admin are always behind on projects, no room for advancement and raises if you get them are so small they're insulting. LS&S doesn't care about its library employees getting paid a living wage or counter COLA inflation. This is a problem at LS&S libraries across the country!
