Pros

There are some genuine people that work here that would do anything for you if you asked.

Cons

Wow where to start. The standards to be in ministry here are all over the place. I struggled to see a clear difference in non-believers and LC staff leaders that party, gossip, steal, and post half-naked pictures on social media sites. If you are in the right crowd or have a spouse on staff, you can do whatever you like though. There are contradictions left and right. Staff do not value you other than what you can do for them. It's a disappointing representation of working for a church. There are sex jokes made in the office all the time and this is considered funny and okay. Good luck having a personal life while working every weekend and several weekday evenings. This place is burn out central in all aspects. Sad sad sad.

Pros

The casual dress code and the healthcare benefits. The ability to work remote when needed. Generous PTO.

Cons

You are simply a cog in a machine used to gain the Senior Pastor more notoriety. He is treated like a god or a celebrity. If you disagree with him, you are out. His erratic and cocky behavior made working at central uncomfortable. It’s all about driving numbers, not actual life change. The more attendance at campuses, the more money is given to the church. Look at how the money coming in is actually spent. Very little is actually given to missions/local needs when it comes down to it. Burn out is common. You are frequently doing the job of 2-3 people while receiving much less pay then would be elsewhere. When brought to the attention of leaders, you’re given options like more time off or therapy, with no real options to actually get help in your role. There are different standards for different employees. Some highly favored employees can do no wrong, including things that are preached against from the pastor on the weekends. Think long and hard before working here. You will sacrifice time, money, your family life, your personal life, and your mental health.
