      I love the mission of our YouVersion team and the fact that we get to be part of Life.Church staff.

      Pros

      We have incredibly gifted and devoted teammates. On a weekly basis I am awed by the spirit of sacrifice and commitment to the mission from our team members. We get to be part of something that is helping people all around the globe freely seek intimacy with God every day. What could be better!? We also get the chance to solve challenging technical problems at a large scale. And the employee benefits, care of leadership, and opportunities for personal development are amazing.

      Cons

      I really can't think of any major downsides. The only thing I would say is that if you aren't excited to work on complex things that will stretch and grow you then this probably isn't the place for you.

      Pros

      I've worked in the corporate world in my previous life and can tell you it doesn't get much better than this. Culture, work-life balance is amazing here. I've never worked at a place where I consider all my co-worker's close friends. The benefits are incredible and leadership is top-notch.

      Cons

      If you don't like to move fast, you may not like working here. I don't' consider this a con, I consider this a positive. Everyone at Life.Church takes their job seriously, and if you like to drift or coast at work this probably isn't the place for you.. Having experienced the opposite at previous employers I can tell you this is really refreshing.

      Pros

      The atmosphere is very hard working, but very people oriented. The management cares about you as more than an employee, but also a family member. They embrace a culture that involves spouses and families. The company also really values development and work/life balance. There are a lot of really skilled people with so much passion for what they do.

      Cons

      While the pay is still considerable for the area, it is less than other salaries in the industry. The pay rate requires sacrifice, but it is well worth it.
