Pros

Where else will you have the opportunity to use your God-given talents and passion to help millions of people from every country in the world experience God's Word? We are fully devoted to our mission, but we are still able to laugh hard, loud, and often. It's extremely rewarding for me to get to work with such a gifted and talented group of people. I've never worked in an environment where I felt more cared for by my leadership and coworkers.

Cons

If you don't enjoy having a lot on your plate, you probably won't thrive here. There's not a shortage of projects to work on! However, we do still have a fun office environment, we get a fair amount of time off, and we are encouraged to not bring too much work home with us.

Pros

This is seriously probably the best place to work, period. The developmental culture here is incredible—you're always learning and growing professional, spiritually, and personally. Everyone here is so passionate about the work we're doing, and everyone (including leadership) really cares about you as a person.

Cons

This isn't an easy place to work. You get a lot of feedback and we move really fast. That's not necessarily a con, but it could be for some people.

Pros

Impact— Be part of a global platform with multiple millions of users who are engaging a daily habit of reading and experiencing the life changing truth of the Bible. Team — My YouVersion co-workers are super committed to the mission and skilled in their individual areas of expertise. Joining the team is like joining a family. It's a fun environment. We believe in laughing loud, hard, and often. Managers — They trust us individual contributors and push decision making deep into the organization. They genuinely care about us and make our jobs easier. Professional development — This is a high-feedback organization. We're expected to grow professionally, to have self-awareness. We're given lots of opportunities and a personal budget to grow and improve professionally, personally, and spiritually. Work/Life balance — We're not expected to work nights or weekends, but we are expected to attend and serve at a Life.Church campus on the weekends. Btw, my kids love going to Life.Church! Flexible work hours — Some team members work from home one or two days per week. I typically get in around 8 and leave around 4. I don't get stressed if I have to go to an appointment or attend one of my children's school events in the middle of the day. Design led — Design isn't just an afterthought. We care about designing beautiful, human centered products with familiar UI/UX patterns.

Cons

Possibly the location in Oklahoma and being farther away from our extended family. Although we initially didn't want to move here, we have come to love Oklahoma and have found that the YouVersion Team is a close knit community that has become like family.
