Pros

Great mission, great coworkers, relatively minimal politics relative to most jobs, great HR hiring/on-boarding/annual review processes, great benefits package, high-trust/high-feedback environment, great sense of camaraderie and humor in the workplace.

Cons

It's a lean organization, so be prepared to put in a LOT of extra hours. Management tries to encourage time off and work-life balance, but since it's a calling and not a career for most folks, people tend to burn the candle at both ends.

Pros

The Central staff is great! Lots of friendly, hard-working people will motivate and encourage you. Every time you visit Central, you'll come away energized and inspired.

Cons

Some of the remote campuses are horribly mismanaged. Because of bad leadership guiding out-of-state (outside Oklahoma) campus pastors, several campuses are experiencing lots of turmoil, drama, and high turnover. Bad leadership tricked down to the campus pastors, who are ill-equipped to manage their campuses. These remote campuses — not all of them but many of them — therefore do not operate as an LC campus should.

Pros

Vision and mission are incredibly clear. The overall boundaries are very clear. A TON of trust is given once you are in your position. You are expected you know what you're doing in your role, all while consistently being given feedback on what is working and what isn't working.

Cons

Ability to speak into processes and systems doesn't happen right away. There's no clear way to give input up the chain ( but they're working on this)
