Pros

LCE is truly a one of a kind place to work. The company truly practices what it preaches in terms of caring personally and professionally about its employees. This is true from top leadership down. Benefits are good. Easy to take time off.

Cons

No formal avenues for career advancement. The company is somewhat behind the times when it comes to latest best practices in employee engagement.

Pros

The people are very friendly. The managers actually take time to talk to you, see what you want for career goals, and try to find a place where you fit. They take a planned and rational method to managing their employees.

Cons

You may not see much of LCE if you are contracted out to the DON or other entity. If you are successful over a long period of time, the entity you are contacted out to may offer to hire you directly instead of contracting your work through LCE.
