Pros

Decent pay, that pretty much all I can say about this side of LifeStorage. Now working in store is much different, at least in my area it was. I had little complaints while being a manager. Drastically changed when I transferred to call center

Cons

ABSOLUTELY NO WORK/LIFE BALANCE. I was never told about a “shift bid”. The only shift bid I was ever told about was for holidays, which is understandable. But to train me for morning hours (8am - 4pm EST) and then switch my shift to the polar opposite of that with absolutely no warning is a bit ridiculous to me. Particular supervisors are just absolutely idiotic. Customers demand to speak to a supervisor after you have told them that the supervisor will have the SAME answer you just gave them, to which they tell you they do not care and still demand to speak to a supervisor, and the response you get from your supervisor is a snarky “I can’t do anything im going to tell them the same thing you did” after you told them that already. If you don’t want want to do your job, do something else. This company will kick you while you’re down and do not feel bad about it. This company should be sued for how they rob their customers too. Customers that haven’t even been there whole 3 months getting $100 rent raises.

Pros

- Not laborious - Quarterly bonuses depending on KPI's met - Mostly office job - Easy job

Cons

- Managers are childish - Corporate doesn't care about your wellbeing - They expect you to come into work while it's snowing and roads are icy - They expect you to come in if you have Covid "as long as you don't have a fever or symptoms for 48 hours" even though you could still carry the virus and potentially spread it to coworkers/customers - Doesn't provide living wage - You're expected to do maintenance even after having a maintenance guy - You're expected to do more than what's in your job description, and you can forget about being compensated for that extra work

Pros

Good work/life balance. No one over your shoulder. A lot of trust is given.

Cons

Pay to start isn't great but raises are given yearly. I'm still not where I should be.
