      Great mission undermined by irresponsible leadership

      Fair comp, positive company mission.

      3 years ago, Life Time (corporate) was on its way from being just an “okay” work environment to a thriving one. But unfortunately the opposite has happened. I saw 50% of my dedicated, talented department quit within a 6 month period. Leadership is completely disconnected from reality, impulsive, irresponsible and abusive. Huge decisions are based on whims instead of strategy and data. Priorities are completely nonsensical and change on a dime, leaving money, strategy and morale on the table. Intimidation techniques and gaslighting are commonplace and dissent is not tolerated. Do not take a job at corporate until top-level management has turned over, if that ever happens.

      There was access to lots of great education within the company in all different subject matters such as science, personal development, leadership and fitness coaching.

      Cons

      The compensation structure is very low for all of the hard work and effort that goes into this position and is very hard to live off of especially in a city.

      Cons

      management can be ignorant about how stressful the job is for you and can be overly customer service focused that they kind of sacrifice staff well-being, entitled customers, LOTS of physical labor
