Pros

LT has plenty of opportunities to pioneer positions, grow skills, and have a voice. The new headquarters building is beautiful. Team members are exceptional, with a warm, familial vibe. And the mission of healthy living is one of the most satisfying, rewarding feeling for everyone on the job.

Cons

Leadership is male dominated - would love to see more women in leadership. Compensation is not very competitive - but if you fight for your worth you can be well paid. Working from home is viewed as "not preferred" by most corporate leaders, including the CEO. Headquarters way out in suburban Chanhassen is not ideal.

Pros

Benefits are decent, employee membership is excellent Club GM was excellent Job was appropriately challenging when there was a sales department Bonus structures, though ever changing, were always very fairly revised if necessary

Cons

whirlwind department restructuring & policy changes: -greatly hinder succession opportunities -resulted in quality of life decrease due to hours required by merging sales & FD — and subsequently requiring all to be FT employees, and then requiring shift blocks. This is equally awful for team members and leaders in membership concierge department -moving from sales to glorified front desk team member stripped away majority of stimulating aspects other existed when there was dedicated sales team I was told by my department leader, and club GM I’d be able to take 10-12 weeks(unpaid after STD) for maternity leave. Additionally- when confirming maternity leave policies with corporate HR, I stated I planned to come back 10-12 weeks and HR rep confirmed (she did say she was brand new). Found out 1 month prior to due date when I followed up again that I would be required to return after 6 weeks, as I’d been team member less than a year. I was devastated that 3 leaders lack led me to believe otherwise. Additionally, I was was given misinformation from HR for Covid leave policy - though it’s worth noting this was at peak of Omicron. Tech issues were a daily occurrence - frustrating for team members, and constantly impacted member experience

Pros

Some of the best people I have worked with - my peers as well as my team My general manager was amazing, I would have stayed to work for him my whole life, unfortunately corporate values did not align with his Learned a lot through leadership huddles, my peers, and my general manager

Cons

No opportunities for growth once you are a manager Corporate team members get more PTO then field employees Expected to always be available - if you aren't you aren't doing a good job - no work life balance Under paid employees. Value your people, they are your greatest asset.
