Pros

Get paid weekly The muffins are good

Cons

During the interview process the managers will be friendly and put on this act that the gym is a perfect utopia and everyone gets along. This could not be further from the truth. The management in this department is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional and thinks it is okay to curse at employees. If they have an issue with something that you do they will either say it to you in the nastiest way possible or tell the supervisors behind your back and put pressure on them to micromanage you. The plays favorite. If they favor you they will let you choose which area of the gym you want to work in and let you stay in the laundry room to gossip. If they don't favor you every 5 minutes they will ask you what you are working on, get irritated if you are in the laundry room and actually doing laundry, and put you in the zone they don't want to work in for months. Pretty much everyone in operations does not have maturity or communication skills to resolve conflict in a professional manner including the managers and supervisors. They constantly gossip, make assumptions. and back stab. They will report you to a manager based off an assumption instead of speaking to you first. They will tell everyone besides you if they have an issue with something you did and blow the littlest mistakes you make out of proportion. Despite how disrespectful and untrustworthy they are they get offended if you just want to focus on your work and keep your distance from them and the drama. This department is never adequately staffed. Despite how understaffed it is the managers expect everything to be done perfectly. It is looked down upon to take lunch breaks, You are also seen as lazy if you fold towels in the laundry room no matter how backed up the laundry room is. The managers also expect you to be able to predict when you will get sick and tell them in advanced.

Pros

You build relationships with the team members and members that are amazing. They recently announced they were buying all Operations Team Members new shoes and have started to offer a few more incentives for team members like purchasing their first uniform.

Cons

Team Members that work at the clubs are treated horribly, while our corporate team members accrue PTO faster, get holidays and weekends off, and get to go home by 5pm every night. Being a salaried team member means that Life Time owns you. I was made to feel bad when I would take off of work and even when I was off of work I would be expected to check emails and take phone calls even though that's against policy. We would get knocked on audits for broken things that we could not afford to fix within our monthly budget. Also your quarterly "bonus pay" is based on the performance of all other departments in the club. Even if you hit your goals for the quarter, if personal training or sales doesn't hit you do not get your bonus.
