Pros

LifeNet Health is an amazing place to work. Inspiring mission, knowledgeable people, helping others what more could you ask for in a career?

Cons

Depending on what your actual job title is, you could become pigeon holed into only being responsible for one or two items. Yes you become almost a subject matter expert, but it tends to become monotonous after so long.

Pros

For the most part good people doing meaningful work- pay is fairly competitive for industry.

Cons

Organization is taking a different turn. Used to be a fantastic place to work, now some of the best leaders that lifenet had are stepping away. Seems to be a monetary chase as opposed to values-driven. Sad to have to walk away from what used to be a place I considered home.

LifeNet Health Response

Thank you for your response. While a couple of leaders have retired over the last two years, the vast majority of management has a long tenure with LifeNet Health. We appreciate your advice and we will remain true to our mission.

Pros

Best thing is saving lives and helping families at the worst time in their lives.

Cons

Very emotional brutally intense work and long hours. Not much time for family. Not much support from higher ups. Although LifeNet is classified as a non-profit, the company makes TONS OF MONEY through the tissue donation and biomedical implants side of their business. Historically, the founder of Lifenet appreciated donors and staff, as well as family. Since his death in 2002 they do not seem to care about dedicated, loyal employees and generous families who support donation as much. Company has grown too fast and is now very corporate and financially oriented, less caring. Focus shifted several years back to research, development, and regenerative medicine.
