Pros

They have a great marketing tool disguised as a mission statement...When all other businesses are closed due to inclement weather they are still open...Sometimes they pretend to be an actual OPO and not just a tissue bank...Thats about it.

Cons

No upward mobility, Executive Leadership is focused on dollars over donors, Human Resources is toothless and useless, The pay sucks! If the minimum wage goes to $15.00 per hour they will loose most of their staff because flipping burgers is easier than dealing with grieving families or processing tissue. The work - life balance is a joke except for the CEO and his host of clowns (VP's/Directors). They constantly talk about how successful the company is...but the employees that make the company successful never see the rewards. Does the CEO really need $800,000+ per year to lead this "non-profit organization"? NO he doesn't. If the company is so successful why cant the raises or bonuses be paid on time? Why cant employees be paid a fair wage? Finally, A major CON to this company is that there is not a Union established to protect the rights of workers in this industry from the greed of corporate executives. BRING ON THE UNION!

Pros

Mission makes you feel good about helping others.

Cons

With tax audits reporting Rony Thomas makes over $800,000/year and the next 8 salaries coming in at a combined over $2.5 million you'd think they would get an HR department that wasn't a revolving door, and be able to pay employees their raises instead of coming up with excuses on how they don't have the money or have to delay the payments. I also find it disturbing how they treat dead patients but i cannot find another job to leave yet.

Pros

LifeNet Founder : Bill Anderson forged a company with a Noble Mission. LifeNet Health today is a company with multiple locations; Spanning East Coast and West Coast with strategic alliances in the Health-Bio-medical sector. The company has 700+ employees and is a $400,000.00 plus non profit with US and International marketing distribution base for ; Cardiovascular-MS-Dermal-Regenerative Medicine grafts and cellular therapies. With new start up Research Tissue franchise . Lean method company; Lean University on corporate campus. Con: only offers Green Belt training for Director or Engineer level positions and above. Director level positions and above pay and compensation very good. MS processing uses state of the art CNC machines. Con: no offering of machinist training or certification for MS processing . The MS department CNC operators compensated under market value for CNC operations. State of the sterile processing facility. Con: no offering for sterile processing staff to be certified in sterile processing.

Cons

Non compete agreements. High staff turn over rates in Human Resources Department from VP level down in all positions., uses a temp hiring agency. HR department is a weak link and state of influx n the company staff recruiting. The hiring process is extremely disorganized . Employee departmental transfers take 60 plus days or greater. Staff turn over rates very high in the following additional departments of the company; OPO, Donor Center, MS Processing, Sterile Processing, Tissue Recovery. These departments have extremely limited career advancement paths and growth potential for employees once hired. Company has not conducted a market survey of current pay structure adjustment for mid -level and below employees in over 10 years.
