Pros

LifeNet's overall objective is amazing. Saving lives and responsibly honoring those who have donated to the cause. Great Health Benefits in comparison to most companies these days! While they do not match your 401K (or 403B for non profit) they do have set aside a contribution plan from the day you start. Stay 5 years and it goes with you when you leave. They also reimburse for school tuition! We never benefited from this but know several that have been thoroughly appreciative.

Cons

DO NOT go salary! Do everything in your power to remain at an hourly rate because they WILL abuse the overtime without further pay. They have no concern for your personal/family life balance and are consumed with their own purpose above all else. If there is a blizzard, 3" of ice on the roads, you WILL STILL be expected to risk life and limb to be at work. Save your complaints from HR. Unless it involves sexual harassment, they really could care less and are only there for the protection of the big wigs. The training for new positions on the business side of things is less than amazing. Yet the expectations are in full force and, at times, completely unreasonable. Don't stick around for the bonus. I've seen better at just about any other place. Whatever they give you, fully expect taxes to take half. Pay raises are the bare minimum, so don't settle on the initial offer for the position unless you are satisfied with making that amount with a 3% increase a year.

Thank you for your review and your service at LifeNet Health. Speaking on behalf of HR and for LifeNet Health, we do wish to hear about concerns and recommendations from our staff, as it will only help us to provide a better environment for our staff and achieve our mission. While it is rare that there is a need to close our facility for inclement weather, we may ask a select group of staff deemed "mission critical" to report to work. We do not ask our staff to take unreasonable risk, but like most health related organizations, our mission of saving lives continues even during bad weather.

Pros

LifeNet Health was fulfilling to work at. I looked forward to going in everyday, and the benefits were amazing! You get a wonderful PTO and sick day accrual (yes, they are seperate benefits), so your work/ life balance is great!

Cons

The company is growing quickly, so there are times where multiple policies change at once.

Thank you for your review. LifeNet Health regularly conducts market reviews of salary and benefits among comparable organizations. Our most recent review indicates that the average wages at LifeNet Health are highly competitive and benefits (to include a paid lunch break) are far greater than the industry standard. We do ask that all new employees maintain the same role for the first 18 months due to the significant training that is required. After that time, we encourage staff to seek other career paths within the organization that align with their interests.
