Benefits are expensive, pay is lousy

Pros

The people you work with day to day are truly there to help those in need.

Cons

Salary - if your mission is to help people get out of poverty, shouldn’t your employees be included in this? Pay is VERY low, health insurance is way to expensive, most employees go to (and qualify for) the marketplace. 401k is a farce. Upper management does not respect or appreciate staff.

Pros

Good exposure and ability to see the direct benefit of the programs and the recipients! Was able to see my own and all of the dreams hard work pay off in the community we supported.

Cons

None to share except pay which is common in NP and better benefit package
