Pros

I loved working with my close group of co teachers at the Lifeworks NW St Johns nursery. We had full benefits and competitive pay.

Cons

Working long hours with little to no flexibility for time off

Values aren't reflected in how they treat staff

Pros

Great values statement, offer great services to clients, wonderful co-workers.

Cons

For a mental health facility, staff is overwhelmed and struggling. Retention is low. Health insurance is only covered for employees, and the price would skyrocket if I tried to add in my dependents. The values of more seasoned upper management don't reflect what younger staff want and need: financial stability, a manageable workload, flexible work arrangements (some people work better remote, some prefer office, and a mix of both should be possible), good work/life balance.
