High expectations/little reward

Pros

Pay was well-but only because I was grandfathered in at a higher amount due to being hired at a higher wage than normal

Cons

Long hours, unrealistic sales goals and quotas, lots of turn around, expected minimal staff to handle high traffic. Constant phone calls at home.

Pros

Management opportunities in photography which aren't common

Cons

Overworked and underpaid. Salary employees often worked 70+ hrs/wk without appropriate compensation. (45k in DC area). Upper management did not care about employees or how to improve the work environment just making more money.

Pros

Photography can be fun if its what youre interested in. Pleanty of hours which can offset the relatively low pay.

Cons

Long, stressful days. Something always seems to go wrong, from set up to overscheduling. Management keeps expecting more and more from its employees, stretching us to our breaking point
