Pros

Follows school schedule (summers and spring/winter breaks), great for parents Free school photo package Great Coworkers Company Share This is a fun industry to work in and nearly every employee I've worked with has been friendly. Starting pay can be ok, but raises do not come frequently or ever. They provide paid training for photographers. Company share is given instead of 401K which can really add up fast for long-term employees!

Cons

Follows school schedule (summers and spring/winter breaks), laid off during this time Few raises Low pay rate Managment seems to fluctuate a lot Since every territory office is handled individually, the work environment, office budget, quality of management, etc can vary drastically. Typically this company does not have a large budget for its territory offices. If you plan on being a photographer, the work is HARD. You have to be on location at schools very early and carry all your own equipment (company supplied). The equipment is heavy and will fill an entire car easily. You will put thousands of extra miles on your car.

Pros

I work as a Studio Photographer in one of the studios in a Target. They'll hire a lot of people around the holidays, so it's an easy in for anyone who wants a job. The kids are cute and fun to work with.

Cons

Almost no hours...hours go to those with the most sales...the most you'll get is like 12 a week. Very unorganized. They expect the world of you right away. The training is confusing and fast. My studio and studio manger was very hard to a hold of if you need to talk to them.

Pros

Great benefits for full time only. Ok salary

Cons

Most employees are part time with lots of layoff. Salaried employees do not get paid over time and photo manager is on call 24/7 like doctor. Lots of responsibility for one person and lots of pressure. The culture is negative and very old employees with old mentalities. Lots if gossip. Very competitive to move up. No values. Pushy sales. Territory manager is very cunning.
