Long days but rewarding

Pros

You are surrounded by other like minded individuals here. Everyone loves photography and wants to help each other learn and push to be better. Lifetouch also offers lots of opportunities to learn more specific skills to those with the aptitude for it.

Cons

Hard long days. When I worked there we were taking 200+ photos a day. If you are trained in other types of photography sometimes you move on to another site for more photographs after your first site. There isn't always a lunch or breaktime available, it depends on the schedule of what location you are photographing.

Pros

Fair pay, hourly pay plus drive time plus mileage. I was always receiving thank you cards with gift cards from upper management who i worked closely with at times and they never failed to make me feel appreciated. Management was amazing, they wanted to promote me as well however i relocated away from this job unfortunately. Early days! My usual day ended by 1pm.

Cons

Travel- i was consistently traveling out of state to help fill in for other teams that needed coverage. It was fun sometimes, but at other times i would be gone week after week in multiple hotels per week. This was all paid for however so it was never at any expense to me at least.

Pros

Physically active job, lots of opportunity to meet people. The senior staff are all great, caring people who know their craft and love it. They truly made going into work worth it.

Cons

This is an industry that is struggling to stay relevant in an age where everyone has a camera in their pocket. Pay wasn't great, seasonal work can be tough, scheduling was smooth most of the time, but inconsiderate coworkers or emergencies could make an otherwise easy day difficult for everyone. Corporate structure made dealing with problems difficult.
