Pros
My manager is actually more of a mentor. I've improved my skills 10 fold in the 2 short years I've worked here, over any other company I've worked for. My team mates have also been extremely patient with my short comings, and have mentored me as well. Casual atmosphere, jeans and T-shirts, flexible work times. CEO is a lady who came to America from Korea, with nothing, shortly after the Korean war, and built a martial arts school, and then an innovative tech company. She operates mostly as a motivational speaker and delegates very well. The president (like many of the managers) is one of her students, and a very strong enthusiastic leader. With a clear vision. These folks lead and inspire, rather than criticize and punish. I like that. As a company they seem like they'd rather find a place for you in the company than just let you go. I've met lots of people who've done lots of different jobs over the years.
Cons
Sometimes downtime can get a bit mundane. I Usually end up helping QA by performing test cases to keep busy, when there's no urgent software tasks that need to be done. But at least we're always learning, and improving.
