Pros

Freedom to work as you need too. The people of your local office. That’s if you have a good staff.

Cons

I worked at lincare for five years. I did very well and even earned a reward. However. As you build the business they are not good at getting you the help and your office suffers badly. So succeeding only hurts everyone. There those who say you get what you put into it is sort of true as I threw myself into that job hard and I succeeded. Then there was a area manager change and we went from great support to 0 support. They hire within on manager positions and not everyone is out to be a manager. They do very little training for anyone. Base pay for a sales rep is $24k per year. Getting reimbursed is difficult on a easy month. If you use the American Express card they don’t get it paid on time and expect you to pay the late fees. After being gone just over 6 months I still have not been paid my last months of mileage which I have probably contacted old boss 10 times and I just get told he is working on it. It took them 4 months to pay off my AE card and then they left a balance of $59 for me to pay. The corporate office really does not care about those in the field. Sales rep turnover is around 50% so that should tell you something in its self. You can be successful, but it’s going to hurt. It’s not s bad starting ground for an entry level medical sales job. Not a long term place.

Pros

You have the opportunity to help improve the health and well being of patients Pto and sick time They do offer health and 401k however as global and as large as the company is health insurance should not cost as much.

Cons

Stressful office environment due to unprofessional employees and constant complaints from patients due to timeliness of order processing and errors made. No office structure. Not enough staff for volume. I have been in the respiratory dme Industry for years, I would not recommend my family to use this company. (Not all Centers are the same) Center Management is not knowledgeable of accreditation policy or procedures, HR guidelines, & much less Medicare guidelines and how to bill for specific equipment. The only focus is numbers not patient care they are willing to do what it takes to make those numbers or you will be terminated without proper coaching and counseling. They do not train new hires accordingly nor are they given the tools. In my opinion this is to point the blame on someone other than management. High turnover Mileage reimbursement took months to be reimbursed Company CC -It took an act of Congress and a huge chain to go through before being reimbursed
