Pros

The company is in the business of helping patients, which can be personally very satisfying. It's also a good way to enter the healthcare field.

Cons

Poorly managed. No plans & follow through, no consequences for poor decisions. People jump into action without thinking things through - there is a lot of "get this done today, drop everything" followed by "no, we don't want to do that anymore, do this instead". Incredibly inefficient. Also no technology, it's hand written forms and faxes and spreadsheets. Basic management tools like budgets and performance ratings are missing.

Pros

Good benefits, PTO, solid foundation, promote from within, good managers in Georgia, and if you work hard it will pay off in the end.

Cons

Equipment, equipment, and equipment. ALL centers struggle on a daily basis to service patients with concentrators and tanks. Becomes very frustrating.

Pros

There is a 20 word minimum, so I have to type at least some words in this "Pros" Box.

Cons

Where do I begin??????? 1. Poor management and supervision 2. Unsupported and obsolete technical software and hardware 3. Catty, immature, high school level office politics 4. Low wages 5. Uneducated and under monitored management 6. Promotions, raises, and advancements are subject only management favoritism scale 7. Lack of any type of business dress code (dirty, stained t-shirts with holes, tattered jeans, low cut and spaghetti strap tank tops, shorts with holes, etc.) 8. Office environment of cramped cubicles 9. Unreasonable office procedures (Power Hour from 8-10:30 with no talking, no asking questions, no bathroom breaks, no leaving your desk, no communication with coworkers, etc.) 10. Parking is very limited 11. Lunch is one hour, but best of luck finding different restaurants within driving or delivery distance. There is always McDonalds, Subway, Taco Johns, and Casey's pizza, then again, you can bring lunch from home. But be advised... it may not be in one of the two overfilled refrigerators when lunch comes around. Coworkers are hungry too and many can't afford or don't care to afford their own lunches. Be prepared - your food is fair game! 12. Time off/ Leave/ Appointments - If you need time off for the doctor, family reasons, sick children, etc., be aware that Lincare does not like their employees to take time off from work - for any reason - especially for newer employees that have been with Lincare less than one year. However, LIFE HAPPENS - RIGHT?!?!?!? Children get sick, employees get sick, car accidents happen and transportation breaks down, doctors appointments come up, family and friends pass away, every day life happens that cannot be taken care of outside of normal business hours.
