Pros

Working 1 on 1 with most students allows you to build relationships and give attention that would not otherwise be possible in a classroom setting. Everyone hired is so peppy and nice. Staff tends to be very supportive and encouraging. Very willing to work around your schedule. Weekdays only. You don't take work home with you (if you're a clinician that is).

Cons

Very little opportunity for advancement. Apparently quite a few clinicians that have been promoted to consultant don't stick around for too long due to having to deal with stress from management and constantly being available for parents of students. Despite the supportive work environment, the low rate of pay and the tendency to hire people on a seasonal or temporary basis alone tends to create a revolving door of employees. Hours can be unreliable. The low pay is absolutely insulting considering what other teaching jobs will pay. The company takes advantage of college students and fresh graduates and pays them nickels on the dollar for a few months before they inevitably leave on to something better. It is a business model built on cycling through teachers.

Pros

I enjoyed working with kids and helping them develop reading, writing, and math skills. They were very systematic about their processes, which I really enjoyed. Everyone I worked with was lovely.

Cons

Managing student behavior can be a bit difficult at times - some training in that area could be a bit helpful.

Pros

This was a fun working environment, my shift was broken into hour long segments with each student. I met some lovely kiddos and really enjoyed my time working here. They also were generous with my hours and provided sufficient breaks (1 hour lunch, 15 minutes/4 hours). They also provided sufficient feedback on my work but were friendly and encouraging in doing so.

Cons

Sometimes the manager was a bit rude to the employees. However, the assistant manager, Amanda, was very kind. Most of the interactions I had were with the assistant manager, not the manager.
