Positive, fun environment Great training in teaching comprehension and reading Get to make a difference and see that you change kids' lives

Cons

Can be fast-paced and need to get to sessions with little time in between Center Director and management can be critical and create pressure Part time - won't guarantee hours so you can have almost no students

Meaningful work at a cost

Pros

-Meaningful and impactful work - you always know you are making an impact on a kid who really needs the help -Exciting and imaginative work place, even when you are teaching the same material each day, the kids you work with make what you do incredibly interesting -Using a powerful and effective learning system. If you use the system, you get results, plain and simple. -Lots of chances to take time off, except in the summer -Full time schedule in the Summer, even for Seasonal hires

Cons

-Working with kids can be very draining -Summers are very tight. They are pre-scheduled months in advance so you need to ask for time off months in advance if you want a vacation in August or July. -Boom and bust cycle. The Academy program is beginning to even things out but generally there are hardly hours to go around during the Fall and Winter. -Upper management make sporadic, haphazard decisions
