Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Lindamood-Bell. We regret that the clinician role was not a right fit. Our training is intentionally comprehensive to prepare clinicians for the responsibility of working one-on-one with students using our unique approach. Feedback is essential to support staff in refining their skills and maintaining consistency across instruction. We recognize the process can feel demanding, particularly at the outset, and we appreciate your perspective. Comments such as yours are taken into consideration as we continue to strengthen our workplace and communication. We wish you success in your future endeavors.

Pros

Absolutely life changing opportunity of helping little ones improve their reading and occasional math skills. If you love kids, and love tutoring, this place is a paradise. You get to have fun, while also doin borderline therapist level work while helping them learn and advance their reading level.

Cons

Pay left a lot to be desired. Hours could be inconsistent.

Pros

Getting to know students is a blast.

Cons

Corporate culture and speak is very normalized, too much emphasis on profit and efficiency for an educational space. Students pay $170 per hour. Clinicians get $23? Absurd.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Lindamood-Bell. We’re so glad that connecting with students is a highlight for you. Engaging with students is central to our mission and instructional model. We appreciate your feedback regarding compensation and culture. We take input like yours seriously as we constantly work to improve communication and ensure that instruction team members feel valued and supported. Learning center fees vary by location and are comparable to similar professional academic services. One factor influencing cost is our team-based approach—instead of a single tutor, several instruction team members support each student. Clinicians provide one-on-one instruction, while other team members focus on assessments, lesson planning, and instructional oversight. This model plays a key role in the significant progress our students make. Thank you again for your dedication and for taking the time to share your thoughts. If you have specific concerns, please speak with your supervisor or contact Human Resources at support.hr@lindamoodbell.com or (805) 546-5693.
