Pros

The transformation of students as they go through one or more of our programs. Within weeks, a non-reader is able to experience the thrill of learning to read, do math and/or comprehend. This, by far, is the most rewarding aspect of working at Lindamood-Bell.

Cons

Very little training at the management level, inconsistent leadership (do as I say, not as I do). Highly stressful environment due to a standard $2000.00/week tuition per student. In this economy, fewer families can afford it, yet the expectation is that your student numbers should only grow. Other drawbacks: nepotism and favoritism.

Pros

Working one-on-one with children, making learning fun, seeing students advance at remarkable rates, asthetically-pleasing environment.

Cons

The company keeps their costs down by hiring "seasonal" workers that work nearly a full year. Seasonal workers do not get benefits, time off, or any other employee perks. If you enjoy taking your hard-earned breaks this is not the place for you as there simply is no time.

Pros

highly rewarding job when you see improvements in clients fairly stress-free environment at the beginning positive management autonomy respected

Cons

very early hours sometimes treated subpar to meet client's needs unnecessary alliances formed in work environment trumps several positive aspects -alliances promote high school behavior like gossip and in/out groups, effectively destroying workplace solidarity
