Pros

-Able to directly impact students' lives -Steady summer schedules -Ongoing mentoring/development -Implementing these programs to students will inevitably strengthen your own cognitive processing - Working directly with a variety of student profiles -paid training

Cons

-Some students are very challenging to work with (again dependent on the center you work at, some places are much better at supporting you with behavior challenges) -Some managers are very strong and great to work with, others just show up and don't support their staff (this varies center by center, ask lots of questions about center leadership during the interview) -Hour by hour scheduling does not leave room for much down time

Pros

Most of the co-workers were very nice.

Cons

Super disorganized scheduling. Training wasn't enough. Was expected to tutor children with severe learning disabilities with zero training on how to do so. Not only that, the way I was forced to teach here actively harmed students with disabilities. Additionally, pay was incredibly low, especially considering the ridiculous amounts of money Lindamood-Bell takes from families.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Lindamood-Bell. We appreciate your feedback, although some may be difficult to hear. We take comments like yours, concerning scheduling and pay, into consideration in our efforts to improve our workplace. While the clinician role may not be a right fit for everyone, the positive effect of our approach on student learning should be evident. We are sorry to hear that this was not adequately communicated during your employment. Regardless, independent research consistently proves what we see in our learning centers daily—Lindamood-Bell instruction improves language and literacy skills for students of all ages and abilities, including those with a diagnosed learning disability. We will continue to improve on how well we help staff understand what they are doing and why. Thank you again for your review. We consider feedback like yours in our efforts to improve the workplace and communication. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
