Pros

Working with kids is rewarding and you can really help them. Your co-workers are good, kind people. You can use what you learn as a springboard to something better.

Cons

Pay too low. They consider 28 cents an hour to be a raise. Corporate controls everything. Management can be robotic and dispassionate in their decision - making. When kids are on winter and spring break clinicians may only get about 15 hrs per week!

Kids are great to work with. It’s a good job for college students.

Cons

Inconsistent hours, lots of corporate talk. The money comes first which is weird in a school setting

Pros

-Reading Program works and helps so many students -majority of role is independent work so your days are not micromanaged -decent insurance coverage - diverse coworkers -LGBTIQA+ friendly -woman owed

Cons

-job expectations exceed the hours you are schedule to complete everything -Lack of streamlined tasks-1 tasks must be logged in 3 places -outdated software -over complicated and unclear Salesforce program that is time consuming and repetitive -must be in office no remote work allowed -vacations must be taken during the school year because summers are the busy season
