Pros
Working at LB has certainly been a highlight in my career as a teacher. Some of the upsides of a job with LB are: -in depth training in the various programs LB offers -observation, practice, and mentorship in the beginning -quality time with kiddos one on one, you'll fall in love with each one of them -freedom to explore games and interests the student like; creativity iss encouraged! -a challenge/learning experience every single day -opportunities to move up the ladder
Cons
Some of the cons put a damper on the workday, such as: -little to no mentorship once you pass a month on the job -your sessions, online or in-person, WILL be interrupted occasionally by a consultant or manager without any warning or follow-up -no weekly check-ups with the manager to analyze performance or air out concerns, unless you ask -the work is go, go, go - every minute of the lesson is timed a controlled and specific -expect to juggle multiple tasks using a laptop and materials the student needs each day -the hourly rate is not ideal for teacher with 10+ years experience but the work is very rewarding
