Pros

There is still a significant amount of good and caring people who genuinely want you to succeed but they are on the decline. Increasingly, those who thrive in a toxic 'cut-throat' environment are becoming more prominent.

Cons

Over the past 9 months, a cultural revolution has occurred. Those who built the great culture that LinkedIn is known for are being replaced by those who favor traditional corporate practices. Transparency and true compassion have diminished in favor of carefully choreographed events and heavy use of corporate jargon. Innovation feels stalled, and the strategy appears to be imitate rather than lead.

Paranoia, toxicity, and lack of ethics

Pros

Free food, prestige of a name company. A good manager can help your career.

Cons

The most toxic and unethical place I’ve ever worked. I feel I have PTSD after working at LinkedIn. For young people only! Ongoing revolving door that keeps paranoia high--no one gives opinions. Constant ageism, gossip, favoritism, aggression, resentment, revenge, and spies. Racism also. They get you when you're young and strong, but stay for your resume and leave before they destroy you. Those who know how to play the hardball game of politics survives this cut throat environment. Soon, it'll only be interns and management.

Pros

This used to be an amazing company to work for - great people, great perks (food, gym, etc), great career growth, and an amazing leadership team that 99% of the company had full faith in and support for

Cons

With the recent transition from Jeff to Ryan, things have really taken a turn for the worst. Ryan seems to be all talk and no action. Commit to diversity & inclusion is questionable. The handling of the recent layoffs was preposterous - cryptic emails at midnight, unpersonal zoom calls. Fine if you're going to lay people off - but don't appear to be compassionate or speak about being compassionate and empathetic when you're laying off 1,000 people and claim that it has nothing to do with COVID. Really miss Jeff, this company took a turn for the worst when he left unfortunately, and it seems like things will never be the same. Know that when you work here, you're essentially working for MSFT, even though LinkedIn will go out of its way to say that they're a very different company.
