Pros

Humble, helpful, hopeful: This is the mission statement of The Linux Foundation. Built on trust and service, great place to have an impact on open source and be involved in the most foundational technology.

Cons

Organization is very lean by intention. So, expect that a large number of efforts will require working with resources available. The good news is that leveraging member companies to support is a good option.
