Poor leadership, worse benefits

Pros

Global footprint exposes employees to a valuable opportunity to work with international coworkers. Large stable company.

Cons

The following benefits are well quite substandard; health and insurance, paid time off, maternity or paternity leave, continuing education, etc. The company wide on-boarding process is non-existent. Corporate communication is poor which stems from poor, disorganized leadership.

Pros

I've worked at Lionbridge for over a year and half, and I've been extremely happy here. From a Sales perspective, when I came out of College there were very few companies that offered a position where I wouldn't have to pass leads off to Senior Sales Reps. Working with Lionbridge onDemand, I not only was put in a place where I got to manage relationship with Fortune 500 companies, but I was also able to quickly get promoted to a Sales Manager based off of all of the hard work that I have put in.

Cons

When I started here I didn't really receive any training which was a big obstacle - luckily since then, there has been a comprehensive training program put in place, which is very helpful to new reps.

Pros

At Lionbridge onDemand I learned everything about the entire sales process. Not just one element of it. This is more knowledge than I could have hoped for with the development of my career in business. The energy of the office is great, too. We are a bunch of like minded, young professionals all on similar career paths. There is a healthy amount of competitiveness that pushes everyone, but not so much that we don't get along. The best part about working for the onDemand team is that this is a young, powerful division within Lionbridge. We have a start up mentality, we are growing very fast, and that doesn't seem to be slowing down. I feel like my accomplishments are actually noticed here and they are actually benefiting the growth of the company and my career.

Cons

I don't really have any cons to mention. The only aspect of this job I could see some people taking as a con is YOU HAVE TO BE READY TO WORK. This is not a place where success is handed out. You must be willing to go get it.
