A mixed bag

Pros

You'll meet some great people here, many of whom have been at this location since its inception. There's comraderie here on the "grunt" level and everyone is usually really good at supporting one another to get the tasks at hand completed. Obviously getting to hear live music is a huge pro if you're a music fan.

Cons

The pay is very low, and no parking is offered for employees not in management so that can really take a chunk out of already meager earnings. Getting comped concert tickets (one of the few perks) is so difficult and arbitrary that it's really a con. A string of very poor GMs at this location caused many valued employees to leave. All of these GMs were fired for various reasons which leaves the venue and staff adrift and causes constant upheaval in policies and procedures.

Pockets of great people, pockets of ego

Pros

I got to meet some really amazing people. I saw some amazing shows and have some incredible stories.

Cons

Management doesn't really adequately fund departments. Was doing the job of two people and couldn't get additional help. Also, some people have huge egos that can make getting things done challenging.

Must Move In Order To Advance

Pros

The pro is definitely getting to do something you are passionate about and getting to enjoy concerts (if you're not working them all the time). The work environment is casual in the office and you often get to meet some great people.

Cons

The work-life balance is poor, especially if you have to work the concerts. There is little to no advancement in the company unless you are willing to pack up your life and move around the country and not get paid much for it. If you don't like your job, there are hundreds of people who want to take your place and are willing to pay the dues to get there.
