Pros

Incredible team. People are smart, nice, and hard working. Very little politics. People genuinely want to help each other solve problems. We're still continually changing and evolving, not resting on our past successes. Lots of growth opportunities.

Cons

Not a lot of well defined structure. That works well for some but others can struggle to find their way.

Pros

I work on the Infrastructure platoon at LiveRamp. We are one of five groups that make up Engineering. I am very happy here for a number of reasons: 1. No politics - Decisions are made quickly and based on technical and business reasons. 2. Transparency - Everyone's opinions are on the table and you don't have to guess around their motivations. 3. Organization - The company is operated as a separate business unit from Acxiom and we do what's best for our own product delivery with full support from the mothership. It's how every acquisition should be structured. 4. Teammates - Everyone works hard and wants to do the right thing. When we hire, we pay a lot of attention to cultural and personality fit. 5. Nature of work - We get to play with giant Hadoop clusters and design/deploy the latest technologies like K8s in the course of solving our business problems. I wanted to work at LiveRamp because it's a sweet spot for me. A startup at heart that remains independent with the financial backing of an enterprise.

Cons

It takes a significant amount of time to hire because we look for the needle in the haystack. This means roles are left unfilled for long periods of time.
