Pros

LiveRamp is an exciting, growing, and nice company to work at. While there are many exciting, growing companies in SF, I think the nice (think culture) is really what sets LiveRamp apart. LiveRamp is all about letting people learn and excel to whatever level they are comfortable with. This means there is a lot of ambiguity for many folks as the company continues to try and be at the center of the AdTech ecosystem. Many folks thrive in this environment while there are always some that do not. If you have a strong interest in tech or big data, love to work with great people (not really sure who doesn't?), and enjoy a fast-paced environment, LiveRamp is a great place to join.

Cons

Many of the pros mentioned above can be cons for some folks. Fast-paced really means fast-paced, which results in some quick decisions that may not have all the consequences fully thought through. The ambiguity can be tough, as folks may not get as much direction as they would like, or even worse conflicting directions. All this can be summarized as LiveRamp is not for everyone.

Pros

For me, the top 3 most important things for anyplace I would work are i) great people and culture, ii) really interesting day-to-day challenges that push me to grow, and iii) amazing product that provides unique value to customers. My guess is that most jobs are 0/3 and that you're lucky if you're 1/3 and very lucky if you have 2/3. At LiveRamp I feel I have all three. The people are smart and are mostly just solid people with integrity (in addition to being fun and nice), and the culture is healthy and empowering. The day-to-day work is incredibly complex and challenging, which I love. And the product is very cool -- we aim to be the connective layer between all digital marketing platforms and in this way empower a huge set of companies to build all kinds of cool marketing apps on top of this data layer.

Cons

It's very fast moving so you need to like that. And sometimes there's just way too much going on, so sometimes I feel pulled in too many directions at once. That can be stressful. But the culture is encouraging of experimentation and tolerant of mistakes (it even encourages them, as long as the same ones aren't repeated), so that's helpful.
