Pros

- really strong emphasis on employee development, regular 1-on-1 with professional development plans, flexible working arrangements, you are encouraged to pursue your own interests/ side hustles as they believe it would make you a more well-rounded individual - colleagues respect one another and are supportive of your experience - senior management team is passionate about their vision, care about employee and customer experience; company has big global ambitions led by experienced leadership team who has worked to prove they can turn vision into reality - the office is fun to be at (as not many people can say this about their job!)- team dinners Korean BBQ are a treat!

Cons

- sometimes chaotic because things move so fast - lots of opportunities for ownership and leadership roles meaning it's not suitable for people that want rigid, structured guidance or training plan; but it's heaven for people that take initiatives

Pros

Liven is dedicated to creating a great work culture - one that prioritizes individual development and job satisfaction. There are monthly 1:1 catch-up sessions where employees chat with direct managers about their achievements, challenges, retrospectives, and goals for the upcoming month. As part of the IDP (Individual development plan), all employees would also identify and track the progress of our developmental actions together with their direct superiors. Flat structure, which allows cross-functional teams to collaborate easily. Also, founders are frequently speaking to the entire company on a daily/weekly/fortnightly basis, and sharing the latest updates with everyone. This helps to boost morale and drive excitement about achieving the next milestones together.

Cons

As a fast-moving startup, it's not a surprise that things are constantly changing - systems, foundations, processes, etc. However, it can get frustrating when there is a lack of processes in place, as well as during the transitioning phases. However, that being said, everything will be fine if you are highly adaptable and enthusiastic about getting up to speed with the implementation or testing of new strategies, processes, and projects.

Amazing place to grow

Pros

Crazy good learning opportunity, they gave ridiculous amounts of responsibility to people who can prove themselves. I didn't actually have formal qualifications in my field but they gave their people a the chance to sink or swim, which I did thankfully. Compared to my friends in similar jobs I could honestly say I've learned 10x more than any of them did.

Cons

If you're from corporate and that's all you've ever known, don't even bother - I've seen many corporate types struggle and quit. Everything about the company will be backwards for you. It's growing really fast - too fast to get comfy. you role will change, your required skillset will change, your learning requirements will change, your team will change, your priorities will change (in line with OKRs). it's like they're filtering for a certain hyper growth friendly team and they are losing nice people who just can't keep up - in fact those people hate it. That's actually a little depressing because everyone in the team can see . Some of those people aren't necassarily poor performers too, they're just at a different life stages. I don't think management's found a way to cater for it or they've designed it this way. Oh and they moved into too big an office, I liked the old days of being together in a small one and most would agree.
