Pros

It is truly an exciting project and many of the staff (most no longer there) were great people. There are opportunities to learn a lot here!

Cons

It's a real shame that Liven believes that the right response to these negative reviews is to have them removed, instead of taking them into consideration and pledging to do better. Any prospective employee deserves to know what it is truly like to work here. I can say with confidence that myself (and many others at Liven) were bullied to the point of anxiety that lasted beyond the duration of our time working there. It is not uncommon to hear staff being screamed at, have their positions threatened and be given unreasonable tasks and KPIs to hit with their jobs on the line. Some staff members are ready to (wrongfully and untruthfully) throw you under the bus for personal gain. Raises are promised with performance - and even if you excel and surpass goals, you'll be scoffed at if you ask for what you deserve. This place is truly toxic - and the longer it is ignored, the worse it gets by day. It was such a shame to watch the place come to what it is. I understand and thrive in start up culture - but this is NOT start up culture. This is bullying, favouritism and straight up lying.

Pros

Crazy good learning opportunity, they gave ridiculous amounts of responsibility to people who can prove themselves. I didn't actually have formal qualifications in my field but they gave their people a the chance to sink or swim, which I did thankfully. Compared to my friends in similar jobs I could honestly say I've learned 10x more than any of them did.

Cons

If you're from corporate and that's all you've ever known, don't even bother - I've seen many corporate types struggle and quit. Everything about the company will be backwards for you. It's growing really fast - too fast to get comfy. you role will change, your required skillset will change, your learning requirements will change, your team will change, your priorities will change (in line with OKRs). it's like they're filtering for a certain hyper growth friendly team and they are losing nice people who just can't keep up - in fact those people hate it. That's actually a little depressing because everyone in the team can see . Some of those people aren't necassarily poor performers too, they're just at a different life stages. I don't think management's found a way to cater for it or they've designed it this way. Oh and they moved into too big an office, I liked the old days of being together in a small one and most would agree.

Pros

Able to learn a variety of skills quickly as it's a start up.

Cons

Secrets, lies and deceptions are sugar coated and swept under the rug. Obvious nepotism and favouritism. Few egotistic, insensitive and bigoted individuals with superiority complexes. Exploitation of young workers. Low pay, if paid at all. Those who speak out get fired.
