Pros

They made an effort to have inclusiveness among team members. Each store has established a group of associates who have volunteered to organize events and bring about positive change in the workforce. Suggestion boxes are open for all employees to contribute and it did allow for great opportunities to arise. The individual's uniqueness was valued on the team as long as you did the work. It was a group of people with different talents sharing a common goal.

Cons

I didn't stay for numerous reasons. Unfortunately, I felt like the tension in the air caused by a commission mentality (even though we were hourly) was ruining our respect for each other as a team. Associates were doing shady things they weren't supposed to with sales that effected others. When those concerns were addressed to management, it was swept under the rug every time. Management was so worried about everyone's numbers and sales for the day. They encouraged us not to spend time on the customer and manipulate them into buying as fast as possible. I know it's a sales job, but when people are buying for their newly built home, those purchases take time as it is a huge decision to make for the homeowners and sometimes they get overwhelmed with the way we are encouraged to push them into buying. The Interior Designer had no time to really design their home. They are supposed to be rendering plans for people and taking real appointments. When people make appointments online, they weren't actually scheduled and the guest would show up without anyone knowing about it. It felt like a joke, honestly. There is no sense in having a design service like that and not being able to provide quality work for that guest. The technology and process of special orders and ordering in general was a mess. None of the devices worked (and I mean none) we had an ear piece, tablet and veriphone to take payments. Not a single device would work properly and the entire team struggled to do their job. Absolutely no efficiency at all. The communication was subpar. Every manager had a different answer for you when you had a question that should be answered consistently. After weeks of working there, I still was told something new everyday. Nobody knows what's going on because management does not relay enough information, or are on different wavelengths.

Pros

The other sales people are nice because they are all going through hell together. Misery loves company.

Cons

If you don't lie to customers to make them purchase the warranty you eventually get fired. It's funny how they don't mention anything about carefree at the interview. This place is run like a cult. Worst job I ever had. My advice is to run.
