Pros
Some of the people are very talented. If you get into a good team it can make the rest of the issues slightly tolerable. Stable company financially. The vast majority of people are hard working good people contributing to the company and the community - it's a shame they don't get rewarded.
Cons
Outsourcing is on the rise so be aware, offshoring/contractors are the new normal. Zero chance of getting full time additional staff even though the entire department/team is overworked. Annual increases are cost of living adjustments and that is for the top performers only (2-3% is considered a 'big' increase). Very little diversity and now as they are attempting to correct this it seems forced and shallow. Remote work has only contributed to no work/life balance and it wasn't very good before remote. New management, same old issues, if you are not part of the club (their hires/or fits) you don't stand a chance.
