Pros

Bracken talks to you directly and acknowledges good work. Management VPs and SVPs are really friendly and easy going. No stress that I can see so far. You're allowed to work independently. It feels like a relaxed working environment.

Cons

It's a little bit of a commute for me but balances out because of good pay.

Nepotism and Politics

Pros

Not too many layers, friendly and fun people. Good salary and overall benefits.

Cons

CEO seems like a nice person but he hires terrible senior management who drive a lot of politics. Senior management use their position to bring their kids in for internships, offer their spouses ad direction contracts and sponsor their kid's career events with company funds. Lots of layoffs done in a hidden manner across teams so that you don't even realize when most of a team is wiped out. Complete lack of priorities, everything is important. Products that are not ready are forced to launch resulting in a terrible feeling for the teams and a bad experience for the customer. And instead of management taking responsibility for it, they fire the people they forced to launch it. Corporate marketing continues to expand into a behemoth of a team but the working marketers in the business groups keep getting cut so there's no one to do work on the ground. Seems like the organization is going back to where it was at 2014.

Pros

Great culture. People are very humble and authentic. You will have the opportunity to grow and take on new responsibilities (since we are short staffed in the design department...). 20 days of PTO (but you have to take 5 mandatory during end of the year holiday season shutdown). Base salary is average but whole compensation not competitive at all.

Cons

No perks: - No generous stock grant (Just a very very light RSU). - No free food. - No free transportation (commute is harsh and expensive if you live in a major city of the bay). - Average 401k (3%). - Average to low healthcare benefits (3k copay under Cigna HDHP). No fertility coverage. 150$ for glasses. 2k orthodontia max lifetime. The company is very frugal and seems now more oriented in buying smaller companies than growing organically their competency and staff.
