Pros

Great location, great benefit, always new people

Cons

Longview prides itself on being about the people. The truth is, the don't care about employees. Very very poor management, old school management . Low moral, poor incentive program, reactive to issue instead of proactive. Agent got fired because it took a muslim hodilay day off (very disrespectful) but it's okay it's okay if a family member of the boss take a day off. Never trust them , it's all smoke. Do your job and leave.

Pros

Long View prides itself on offering career progression and work-life balance - which (in my experience) they deliver on. I love the staff, and am usually happy to go to work int he morning.

Cons

In my opinion Long View is Top Heavy. I feel like we are constantly tightening our belts, cracking down on expenses, and shortening leashes - yet at the same time they are constantly promoting senior leadership. The average consultant feels underpaid (compared to market value), yet there are more than 1 executive per 100 employees. And that's not counting the numerous "Directors" and "Managers" do. We are also Internal role heavy. In the past year I have seen a number of internal support teams grow significantly, but their contribution hasn't (People Services, Resourcing, Finance, etc.) These are cost centers that don't earn any profit for the company.

Pros

Great to travel, some free food and drinks

Cons

There is a common theme within the negative reviews and I would whole heartedly agree that they definitely hold the same poor experience as mine. This company has a significant tendency for favoritism and nepotism. For a company that is 'apparently' growing fast, it is very difficult to judge based on the shortage of compensation increases or lack thereof. If you are serious about this company, do your diligence and gather written commitments on your compensation structure or you will have none after you are onboarded till the you threaten to quit. Everything is kept on spreadsheets and decisions are made arbitrarily depending on who you are, who you have beers with or rub shoulders with. Yes, it really is one of those companies sadly to say. I would add that Long View is a 3rd tier consulting company and management lack experience outside of their bubble. Their projects are tiny and you will be worked and pressured to take on double digit projects to maximize your billing making the whole experience very frustrating and compromising for both ends. Be ware of this company - it is truly not worth your time - they make themselves out to be more successfully and fast growing than they really are to build excitement. Something has to give to maintain growth and that is the employees. Lastly, it is hard not to notice there were three SHORT and seemingly great reviewsjust before this one within 1-2 days in a row trying to cover up the negative ones. Not saying they are fake but it is something that is very suspicious and something that is not a surprise from the management team having to resort to such tactics.
