Pros

- Free drinks (coffee, soda, juice) in the office. - Some great consultants still in the fold.

Cons

- Management often bends over backwards to appease clients to the detriment of their own employees. - Messages from upper management often seems completely tone deaf to what is actually going on in the company. - Newer support model was touted as being a solution which would result in a better work/life balance. It has instead resulted in an environment where there's nowhere near enough resources to properly provide quality service to many clients. This has left many resources stretched super thin, and working into the night on a regular basis while still falling behind. - Newer support model has also resulted in a vulture like mentality with the leadership where the perception that someone isn't being utilized (ex. they are on boarding) could result in attempts to pull them off a client site indefinitely without any back-fill to replace leaving the team short handed. - Sales staff often oversell to clients resulting in situations where there is little chance for the resources doing the work to meet those targets, which results in angry clients, angry managers, and angry consultants who are just trying to do right by the client. - Incentive model is a shadow of what it once was. It used to reward overtime by increasing the bonus amount received per quarter which depending on the area of the company could be lucrative. It is now a flat 25% per quarter and is not tied in any way to the amount of work done, which gives us no real reason to put in any extra hours outside of helping a colleague. - Company urges consultants to take their vacation, but often leaves them in situations where there isn't sufficient coverage for them to take said vacation. - Company doesn't practice what they preach RE: Core pillars.

Hello there, while we are disappointed to read your comments, we do appreciate you taking the time to write a review on your experience with us. As you are still employed with us, we have an opportunity to work directly with you to rectify your concerns! We would love to be able to explain to you how our overtime actually works as it is not as you describe it, unfortunately. Our VP of People Services is looking forward to hearing from you (403-515-6900) so your concerns can be addressed which will also be a great opportunity for you to have your voice heard other than on a public forum. We can also explain to you how our Over & Above Incentive works. If you decide not to call, you can find a video explaining this on our Intranet. We do hope that you choose to get in touch with us, though, as we would like to learn more about the requirements you mentioned where you are working so much overtime and how we can get the right resources to support you supporting our clients. Thanks for all you do!

Cash Flow Issues and Collection Notices

Pros

They have coffee machines, free soda and fizzy water. Not once did I use the bathroom and find a stall without toilet paper.

Cons

Long View has some serious cash flow issues that are making it challenging for them to pay their bills. I have experienced this first hand and have just had to retain a collection agency to get an invoice paid by Long View. This coupled by their loss of a number of clients and their declining sales, it is only a matter of time before the "cash flow issues" effect their employees.

Hello. We regret there appears to be a significant misconception here, as Long View is not experiencing cash flow concerns of any type. Also, our client base has grown significantly and is more diverse than past years.

Pros

- The leadership team at my site are doing the absolute best they can after being saddled with a terrible contract they had no part in negotiating or signing. - I can speak to the team that I work with at my site and say that they are a wonderful group of people who try the best they can in difficult circumstances. - The Christmas part is pretty decent.

Cons

- The company doesn't hire based off experience nor tell you what to expect from the site you are being sent to. It feels like working for a temp staffing agency, except they say it's a place where you can build a career, which is not true. - There is a complete disconnect from head office staff and us "billable assets" out at client sites. They don't attempt to make us feel part of the company and they just want you to keep showing up so they can keep billing the client. They don't care at all about the culture and morale at the site you are located at. - The pay is way below market rate and they have been signing bad contracts with clients where even the quarterly incentive system is being stripped away. - They talk about how they offer free training, except it isn't free, they take it off of your incentive, which should be your bonus for the markup they make off of you. - Constant pressure to make the site you work at more profitable, even though the company signed the bad deal in the first place. - Team Leads are left to suffer the brunt of discontent from the client and receive little to no support from the company. - Work environment hinges on unsafe and company is completely unaware of what they signed up for. - You just exist to make money, they could care less about what happens to you and your career as long as you are a billable asset. Show up, track your time, make Long View money and that's all they care about. - I personally worked extra hours over the holiday season with the promise of a gift of some sort from the company in exchange for it, we are two months from that over time worked and still nothing has been paid out.

Hello there, we are obviously saddened to read this review. While we are pleased to hear that you enjoy your team and the site leaders, we are not happy to read about the rest of your experience as it's not in alignment with our culture or our company's goals. Can you please book some time with your People Services Advisor or Manager so that we can fix this and show you what a career at Long View should look like? We look forward to hearing from you very soon.
