Pros

- I'm able to work remotely full-time, and I don't feel like I'm missing out on any in-office events or team building. We're constantly on video calls or sending looms so I've been able to connect with colleagues. We also have an internal group dedicated to the remote employees where we do remote trivia, happy hours, watch movies, even a yoga class! We also meet as a company in person twice a year. 1 for a company retreat at a location that changes every year (this year was Barbados) and once at the HQ in SF. - My colleagues are the best of the best. They bring unique backgrounds and experience. I'm motivated by co-workers that set the bar high and that I can learn from. That really is everyone at Loom and the bar is being set higher and higher with each new employee. - The benefits also don't get much better. We have top of the line health insurance that is 99% covered by the company. All remote employees have a stipend to set up a home office and money towards a co-working space. $100 monthly wellness reimbursement.

Cons

- Loom is in hyper growth. It's getting hard to keep up with all of the new faces every week. I just hope we're able to keep the great culture we have now as we continue to grow.

Pros

2020 is an amazing time to join the company. Lots of highly impactful features to build instead of just running a handful of optimizations. The core tool itself has the chance to impact a large portion of the workforce - it's exciting to build something that can help workers of all types become more effective communicators. The team is very capable and comes from a variety of well respected backgrounds. Tremendous opportunity ahead if they can execute.

Cons

It's a young company so things can change rapidly. They're competing in an active space, which means pressure to deliver.

Pros

The people that work at Loom are intelligent, low ego, and fun to work with. Everyone's passionate about the product and there is a collective desire to win Loom is a much more efficient and focused business now compared to the business we were 6-12 months ago. Generally speaking the problems we get to work on really interesting and hard problems.

Cons

Loom is still a startup, meaning our process for planning and operating teams is still something we're constantly developing. You should expect a fast-paced environment, and understand things will change There are moments when we're expected to disagree and commit and work on something proposed by leadership. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen
