Pros

The people that work at Loom are intelligent, low ego, and fun to work with. Everyone's passionate about the product and there is a collective desire to win Loom is a much more efficient and focused business now compared to the business we were 6-12 months ago. Generally speaking the problems we get to work on really interesting and hard problems.

Cons

Loom is still a startup, meaning our process for planning and operating teams is still something we're constantly developing. You should expect a fast-paced environment, and understand things will change There are moments when we're expected to disagree and commit and work on something proposed by leadership. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen

Some hurdles like any other company, but great experience overall

Pros

- Startup environment that moves fast and tries to make an impact quickly. Not a lot of red tape to go through, so you feel like you are providing a lot of value very quickly - As with any company, sometimes there are hurdles with Leadership, but have never been at a company where folks are so willing to hear you out and have an open conversation about how they/we can do better going forward - Leadership is very supportive and will always carve out time to talk with you if needed, even if they up to their ears in work - Provides a ton of opportunity to grow - the company values it's existing employees more so than any other company I've been at. They will work with you on what you are interested in and where you want to grow in your career

Cons

The main con is something I feel like I would see at any other startup, and have. Lots of things move very quickly and sometimes it feels like there are a fair amount of changes happening and communication sometimes gets lost - but it does feel like leadership and managers try to think through all the scenarios and edge cases before making any significant changes/decisions.

Pros

In the first half of my tenure it felt like I was learning a lot, but that all went out the door after rounds of layoffs. The founders have incredible egos and are miserable to work with.

Cons

1. The ENTIRE management team turned over in 1 year. Really inexperienced managers were catapulted into positions of leadership and that led to very difficult working conditions as an IC and so much thrash because of management. 2. Read the rest of the glassdoor reviews - nobody is referring to their workplace with the same language that would appear on a pitch deck; the founders write fake reviews to boost their ranking
