This program which has been in operation for over 75 years, provides an invaluable service to those seeking a way out of homelessness and alcohol/drug addiction. The corps of compassionate staff, chaplains, and supervisors provide a way for individuals to redeem their self-esteem and establish new vocational skills and experience. If you are interested in working in social services, I would highly recommend the LAM.
Cons
Pay rates may not be as competitive as other industries, but the reward of being of service to those in need outweighs this.
