Pros

Gaining experience in the new field of journalism, even if it’s the back end of the business side

Cons

Terrible work environment. Management is super critical and the work is so mundane.

Pros

Awesome engineering team. No BS. Good benefits, great people. Great work-life balance.

Cons

The tech leadership team, while fair and meaning well, often is too deep into the details of actual coding and building of the systems, leaving less room for the individual contributors on the team to develop. This is not a big complaint though. Overall, this is an excellent place to work as an engineer, with supportive peers and people that care about each other.

Pros

Opportunities to be published in the main LAT.

Cons

Absurdly huge gap between community and LAT pay. Attendant elitism.
