Pros

Still a great showcase for good talent, despite dwindling circulation and unfocused online presence. If you've got the skills, you can still shine.

Cons

Was once an elite news organization. With continued layoffs and legendary bad management in editorial, it is barely hanging on editorially. People are fleeing constantly, especially women. Editorial bosses known for treating women over 50 badly.

Pros

the newsroom crew is amazing and still loaded with talent despite years of demoralizing cuts. the paper is lucky that the staff sees journalism as a calling and not just a paycheck.

Cons

years of cuts and mismanagement have taken a toll. now that it's finalllyyy out of bankruptcy, the company needs to focus on boosting morale.
