Some great people in a struggling industry

Pros

The L.A. Times is staffed by professional journalists who know their jobs backwards and forwards. There is no more authoritative news source in Southern California.

Cons

Owners have put the company in a worse financial position than most newspapers. Extreme cuts have left most departments understaffed and overextended.

Pros

The work environment there was wonderful. Loved the co-workers as well as all of the supervisors.

Cons

I can't say that there are too many downsides to working there. I was treated very well and miss working there very much.
